“The Secret Power of Mindset” written by Bren Koger.
Besides the fact that they are entertainers, what do Whitney Houston, Jewell, Miley Cyrus, Enrique Iglesias, and Jakob Dylan have in common?
Answer: They have parents who are singer/entertainers.
Whitney Houston’s mother, Cissy Houston was a gospel singer and sang back-up for Elvis and Aretha Franklin.
Singer Jewell’s parents were singer song writers. She grew up singing with them in coffee shops.
Miley Cyrus is the daughter of singer Billy Rae Cyrus.
Pop star Enrique Iglesias is the son of singer Julio Iglesias.
Jakob Dylan of the Rock band The Wall Flowers is the son of singer/icon Bob Dylan.
How much of their singing ability and eventual fame and success is due to the fact that they were surrounded by singers growing up?
While there is no disputing they are talented, their famous parents had to have had an influence. In other words did they learned to sing because they were surrounded by singers and became familiar with it.
The Power of Mindset in…. Song?
While I don’t have any aspirations to be a singer. We just sing for fun on long car rides.

I do have other goals and aspirations. One being to provide value through my blogs/videos and content and be financially compensated in return.
For me, growing up my parents were not poor by any means. We lived on a successful dairy farm. However, I did not grow up with a silver spoon in my mouth. My parents worked typical 12+ hour jobs. To be an entrepreneur on the internet was something they could have never dreamed of.
There have been times in my life I’ve had to check my internal mindset to see if I am”aligned” with a wealth entrepreneurial/ wealth mindset. Am I aligned with all of the wealth I am wanting to attract into my life? Is it something familiar to me or is it just something I’m wanting, but holding back due to limiting beliefs.
What the Power of Mindset is for You
How do you feel around people who have more money than you do?

We all tend to be drawn toward the familiar. It’s why we like to hang out with people who are similar to us.
Change Things in Your Life
So you may be wanting to change things in your life, but there is a part of you that is sabotaging your success because it’s too far outside your comfort zone. You are not familiar with it.
When you know someone is ultra successful or super rich do you get a little self conscious and tongue tied when you’re around them? Do you start to sweat a little bit?
Do you ever get envious of people who have more money than you?
Honestly how does this video make you feel?

Would you feel at home in a house like these? Are you familiar with it or would you feel out of place.
If you feel uncomfortable, then you are sending that vibration of fear out to the universe like a beacon saying “Don’t bring this to me it scares me and makes me feel uncomfortable.”
It’s why lottery winners lose everything. They jumped too fast into a level of abundance without changing the energy they were emitting. They find a way to get back to their comfort zone.
“Don’t try to take action about anything until you have visualized it and made it real enough that it feels like the next logical step.”– Abraham-Hicks
Do you ever have negative thoughts about the way rich people got their money?
Are you more comfortable hearing sad stories about failure or success stories?
Any of these question can mean that you have some underlying limiting beliefs about success and money.
Taking Control Over Your Power of Mindset
So what can we do to get closer to the vibration of what we want to manifest in our lives?
- Awareness is the first step. Observe how you feel when you are around people you want to emulate. Are you comfortable? Does the life you want seem like the next logical step to you?
- Feel it Get as close to the feeling of abundance as you can. You may not have millions in your bank account today, but do one small thing everyday that makes you feel as if you do. Treat yourself to a luxury item at the grocery store that you feel is outside your budget at least once a week and indulge.
- See it Have some type of vision board with pictures of your dream vacation, dream home, dream car, DREAM lifestyle!
- Guided meditation 3 minutes a day. Get quiet and do this guided mediation. Once a day (see video below).
- Speak it Be aware of your words Use only positive “I am” statements out loud “I am wealthy” “I am rich” “I am love” “I am responsible with money” “I can be and do and have whatever I want.”

The Power of Mindset Controlling Your Wealth and Future
Times are changing and more than ever before you don’t have to come from money to be rich.
In 1982 60 percent of the people on the Forbes 400 list of wealthiest Americans came from wealthy families, compared with 32 percent in 2011.
Before the explosion of the information age it was tougher to become a self-made millionaire.
New research from Joshua Rauh, professor of finance at Stanford Graduate School of Business, and Steven Kaplan, professor of entrepreneurship and finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business shows that the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans were not born rich. The explosion of the information age has created a whole new class of rich.
It’s no coincidence that three of the 10 wealthiest people in the United States—Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, and Michael Bloomberg—built their fortunes on information technology that barely existed in the 1980s. So don’t worry if you want to become something that you are unfamiliar with now.
It is possible with the right tools and using the power of mindset to be successful in any area of your life.
